Estate Planning
Establishing an estate plan and securing your future is one of the most important steps you can take for you and your loved ones. At a minimum an adult should have a Will that distributes property and names guardians for any children.
Anyone
with substantial assets (real property, business interests, investments, etc.)
should consider using a Trust. Managing assets in a Trust minimizes taxation
and eliminates the delays and fees associated with a probate administration.
Most importantly, a trust can be used to ensure that your loved ones are cared
for long after you have passed on, and/or that your charitable wishes are
fulfilled.
Estate
planning encompasses so much more than Wills and Trusts. An estate plan consists
of, in addition to a Will and Trust, a Durable Power of Attorney for Financial
Decisions (to appoint an agent to handle financial affairs in the event of your
incapacity) and an Advance Health Care Directive (to make your healthcare
desires known and appoint an agent to make medical decisions on your behalf if
you are unable) are included in every estate planning package. The Law Office of
Denise Perelli-Minetti will prepare the documents necessary to properly fund
your Trust.

Estate Planning Maintenance
The Law Office of Denise
Perelli-Minetti offers an Estate Plan Maintenance Program exclusively for her clients.
This program allows, for a low annual fee, the client to contact our office
with questions about their estate plan throughout the year and, around the
anniversary date of the signing of your estate plan documents. Meetings can be
arranged to meet with an attorney either in person, or by telephone to discuss
any changes that may be necessary to your plan and whether all assets that
should be in your trust are, in fact, titled in your trust's name.
As part of this maintenance program, the Denise will draft any minor changes, such as changes in beneficiaries, that may needed for your plan at no additional charge.
If major design changes are needed, Denise
will work with you to incorporate those major changes into your estate plan
upon an agreed upon fee.
